This is the Fastnet Rock Lighthouse viewing area. As you can see, the fog had come in, and we couldn't see any rock, lighthouse, or anything else.
We had a 4-hour time period to explore Cape Clear Island. A group of French students went off to see the castle, and other smaller groups went this or that direction. Two hours later, it began to sprinkle. Jim and I were fairly close to the harbor, so we decided to go to the small café and have some lunch. (The seafood chowder that everybody makes around there is great!)
Little by little, people returned from their excursions, each subsequent group looking more and more like drowned rats. Since the café was small, everyone shared tables, sipped hot chocolates and espressos, and waited for departure time.
